Access Point Upgrades
On behalf of Balfour Beatty Rail, we were involved in Network Rail’s CAPEX 6 project work, undertaking the installation/modification of Network Rail access points.
The scope of this project was to provide suitable, convenient, and safe access points at predetermined locations.
The existing fence line was removed where required, and vegetation clearance work was carried out.
Temporary fencing was installed during these works to maintain the integrity of the boundary fence.
The various tasks involved in the construction of the new access points included the installation of new palisade fencing and access gate, the construction of a new concrete path and landing to provide a place of safety, complete with Kee Klamp handrail installed for the length of the concrete landing.
These locations were both rural, and residential. Public safety had to be maintained, with both locations being kept clean and tidy at all times, whilst showing consideration for neighbouring residents.
